6 bedroom En-suite Camps Bay Villa Exuding Exotic and Rustic Appeal

An exquisite Indonesian retreat. Cape Bali Villa in Camps Bay exudes a very authentically exotic and rustic appeal. Its aesthetic is an effective incorporation of materials such as bamboo and original Balinese wood, which reign throughout the home's exterior and interior.

The entrance to the home is grand and inviting. It is manifested as a charming wooden walkway underneath a triangular, Asian-bamboo roof. The architecture is the work of architect Gert de Wet and the interior design and decoration is the self-work of the Villa's very talented and creative owner. All interior materials are predominantly wood, marble, leather and very much inspired by all things oriental. Cape Bali Villa represents a place that has executed a perfect blend of traditional Bali style and an authentic South African lifestyle.

A distinct sense of unity and wholeness is the result of natural colours within the interior, the landscape design and unspoiled nature being simultaneously utilised. When asked to define the style and effective ambience of the home, the owner articulated the following description: Cape Bali Villa offers an unrivalled level of style, choice and personalised exploration. Sleek and spectacular, with unprecedented privacy, Cape Bali Villa inspires extraordinary journeys for the soul. Natural and rustic colours coincide with straight lines, wood-on-stone and glass throughout the home's interior. Complimenting the entire look are scatterings of original orchids and potted Bamboo plants and an enviable collection of antiques from the Asian Market, all being within the range of 250-300 years old respectively.

The Villa's most notable feature is its patio/entertainment area outdoors. Here one is spoiled for choice with regard to the range of seating areas available for various types of intended occasions. One can sit on the luxurious outdoor lounge suite overlooking the ocean amongst the lush, green bamboo plants, one may have a romantic dining experience underneath the gazebo alongside the swimming pool or one has two separate options for dining under the stars for larger occasions: either around the large dining table or in the informal dining arrangement tucked snugly in a corner of the beautifully manicured garden.

The swimming pool is heated, providing the option to swim and socialise all year round. The home has very functional spaces in the open-planned ground-floor section divided between the kitchen and the dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the range appliances and the solid-wood dining table is surrounded by a leather-clad seating arrangement. The kitchen also has a concealed scullery, pantry and laundry-room facility.

This level of the Villa has a fully equipped gym with a surround-sound music system and a plasma-screen television for entertainment. The lounge is warm and richly furnished with deep-seating leather upholstered furniture and an Indonesian wooden cabinet housing a Plasma screen, DVD player, music system and Satellite TV channels on the TV. This level also includes a functional and private office/study with a wireless internet connection.

The ground-floor has a separate and secluded apartment suite which comes with a queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, alarm system, Plasma screen, under-floor heating and an en-suite bathroom with heated towel rails. The entire home has underfloor-heating and has heated towel rails in all of its bathrooms.

The upper floor houses the bedrooms, 5 in total, excluding the ground-floor apartment. Three have double beds and two have Queen-sized beds. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and a television set with Satellite TV.

The Master-suite has a Plasma-screen TV with a DVD player and music system. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with two bedrooms having both shower and bathtubs. Three of the bedrooms have sea-facing views, whilst the remaining two have either mountain or garden views. The home is very secure with a state-of-the-art alarm/security system and electric-wire fencing.
